There are nine countries in the world whose names start with the letter “I.”

1. Ivory Coast

Ivory Coast is a state in West Africa. As the world’s largest cocoa producer and exporter, the country has secured relative prosperity. 40 percent of the world’s total production comes from the Ivory Coast. A total of six million people live from the export or cultivation of cocoa.

2. India

3. Indonesia

In terms of landscape, the islands are quite different; some have mountains or plateaus, others consist of flat coastal plains and alluvial land. Tourism is an important source of income for the country. Bali alone is visited by around four million tourists every year.

4. Iraq

5. Iran

6. Ireland

7. Iceland

With around 103,000 square kilometers, Iceland is the second largest island state in Europe in terms of area. Iceland does not officially have its own military, but is still a member of NATO. 8. Israel

The independent State of Israel was proclaimed on May 14, 1948, and since its independence the State of Israel has had a checkered and troubled history. It has the highest standard of living in the Middle East and the third highest in Asia.
